2023年，带着对表演艺术的满腔热忱，阿根廷小伙沃尔特(Soy Walter Quiroga)从家乡来到西安，成为张艺谋执导的大型演出《无界·长安》中的首批外籍演员。“观众经久不息的掌声是对所有台前幕后工作人员的肯定！”沃尔特说，他享受表演时的陶醉与激情，更庆幸有机会将融入身心的阿根廷艺术带到中国，在西安“舞”出自己的精彩人生！

　　In 2023, driven by the passion for performing, Argentinean youth Soy Walter Quiroga left his hometown for Xi'an and became one of the first foreign actors in the large-scale performance "Omni Chang'an" directed by Zhang Yimou. "The audience's prolonged applause is an affirmation of all the staff on and off stage!" Walter said, who enjoys the passion of performing and feels fortunate to have the opportunity to bring Argentine art—which has been deeply integrated into his soul—to China, "dancing" his way to a wonderful life in Xi'an!

　　感受兵马俑的震撼

　　Shocked by the Terracotta Army

　　“2023年是我初次来西安，但并不是我第一次来中国。”面对采访，外形硬朗的沃尔特一边喝着家乡的马黛茶，一边将自己的经历娓娓道来。今年39岁的沃尔特家乡是阿根廷拉普拉塔市，大学时就读于阿根廷国立艺术大学，专业方向为民间舞蹈和探戈，拥有民俗学学位，工作后一直从事舞蹈演出、教授工作。来西安前，沃尔特已拥有丰富的海外演出经历。2017年，他在广州长隆演出过半年；2018年，又在深圳做过一年的舞蹈老师，教伦巴、探戈等。

　　"2023 was my first time in Xi'an, but not my first visit to China," said Walter, a rugged-looking man, sipping his mate tea from his hometown, as he recounted his experiences. Walter, now 39 years old, is from La Plata, Argentina, who has a degree in folklore, specializing in folk dances and tango, from UNA (National University of the Arts) in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, and has been engaged in dance performing and teaching as his profession. Before coming to Xi'an, Walter had already accumulated rich experience in overseas performances. In 2017, he performed at Chimelong in Guangzhou for half a year and worked as a dance teacher in Shenzhen for one year in 2018, teaching rumba, tango, among other dances。

　　在中国的两段工作经历给沃尔特留下了美好的印象。沃尔特说：“中国朋友非常友好、热情，我一直期待着能再到中国来。”于是当2023年的一天，阿根廷当地一家国际艺人经纪公司询问他是否愿意来西安演出时，沃尔特毫不犹豫地答应了。

　　Walter's two working experiences in China left him with a wonderful impression. He said, "Chinese friends are very friendly and hospitable. I've always looked forward to coming to China again." Therefore, in 2023, when an international artist agency in Argentina asked him if he was willing to perform in Xi'an, Walter agreed without hesitation。

　　“虽然之前没来过西安，但我早就知道这座城市，那里有举世无双的兵马俑，我一直非常期待能亲眼看到！”沃尔特颇有些激动地告诉记者，他十岁时第一次在电影中看到了秦俑的画面，被深深吸引，还查询了关于秦俑和西安的资料，没想到多年后真的有机会来到这座城市。

　　"Although I had never been to Xi'an before, I've known about this city for a long time—it’s the home to the world-renowned Terracotta Army, which I've always been eager to see with my own eyes!" Walter recalled excitedly that when he was a teenager, he first saw the images of the Terracotta Army in the movie. Deeply attracted, he even looked up information about the Terracotta Army and Xi'an afterwards. He never expected that many years later, he would have the opportunity to visit this city。

　　沃尔特说，到西安后他去参观了心心念念的秦始皇陵兵马俑，大为震撼，他说“每一尊秦俑的表情、动作跨越千年仍栩栩如生，站在阵列对面凝视，还能感觉到2000多年前那个王朝的威武与荣耀。”

　　After arriving in Xi'an, he visited the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum, which he'd been longing to see, and was greatly shocked. He said, "The expressions and postures of each Terracotta Warrior are still vivid after thousands of years. Standing opposite the array and gazing at them, I can still feel the majesty and glory of that dynasty over 2,000 years ago."

　　后来沃尔特发现，兵马俑在西安，但西安不只有兵马俑，西安非常雄浑、伟大，凝缩着辉煌的中国历史与文化，他在这里认识了秦腔、皮影戏，知道了《西游记》《长恨歌》的故事……

　　Later, Walter discovered that the Terracotta Army is in Xi'an, while Xi'an is not just about the Terracotta Army, but rather, a grand city with glorious history and culture of China. Here, he got to know the Qinqiang opera, shadow puppetry, and the stories of "Journey to the West" as well as the "Song of Everlasting Regret".。。

　　担当鼓手表演豪迈

　　Drumming with Passion

　　作为《无界·长安》的首批外籍演员，沃尔特和同伴们到西安后，很快投入到紧张的排练工作中。

　　As one of the first foreign actors in "Omni Chang'an", after arriving in Xi'an, Walter and his colleagues quickly threw themselves into intense rehearsals。

　　“排练非常辛苦，特别是临近正式演出的几周里，我们每天从上午10点一直练到凌晨两三点。”沃尔特说，随着排练的深入，他对参演的《无界·长安》有了更全面深刻的认识。《无界·长安》由中国知名导演张艺谋担任总导演，整场演出分六个篇章，涉及元素众多，有擂鼓、皮影等传统文化展示，还有现代创意与科技呈现；参演的外籍演员来自阿根廷、乌克兰等不同国家，这些都需要熟悉、磨合。

　　"Rehearsals were very tough, especially the weeks before the official performance. We practiced from 10 a.m. until 2 or 3 a.m. every day," Walter recalled. As rehearsals progressed, he gained a more comprehensive understanding of the show. Directed by renowned Chinese director Zhang Yimou, the entire performance is divided into six chapters and features a wide range of elements, including traditional cultural displays such as drumming and shadow puppetry, as well as the presentation of modern creativity and technology. The international cast hails from different countries, like Argentina and Ukraine, all of which require time and effort to get familiar with and adapt to。

　　沃尔特说，他们开始经常穿梭在不同的剧院排练，直到正式演出的前两周才进驻了西安·一带一路文化艺术中心彩排。演员们虽然语言不同，但信念一致，都在倾尽全力奉献最棒的演出。

　　Walter said that they often shuttled between different theaters for rehearsals, and only two weeks before the official performance, did they move into the Xi'an Belt and Road Culture & Arts Centre for final rehearsals. Despite language barriers, the actors shared a common goal, and all brought out their best, striving to present the most outstanding performance。

　　2023年11月，大型驻场观念演出《无界·长安》在西安正式公演，现场座无虚席，一票难求。沃尔特参演的第一篇章《和鸣》率先亮相，在光影交错中，鼓声震天、秦腔吼起，沃尔特和其他鼓手以强烈地肢体语言奏出鼓阵的磅礴气势，极富张力的表达让观众瞬间血气上扬。

　　In November 2023, the grand conceptual stage performance "Omni Chang'an" officially premiered in Xi'an to a sold-out audience, with tickets in high demand. The first chapter, "Resonance", in which Walter performed, took the stage first. Amidst the interplay of light and shadow, the drumbeats were thunderous, and the Qinqiang opera roared. Walter and the other drummers used powerful body language to convey the grandeur of the drum ensemble, their highly dynamic performance instantly stirring the audience's spirits。

　　演出大获成功，热烈的掌声贯穿开场与结尾，《无界·长安》迅速成为西安最具人气的文旅演艺之一。沃尔特说，成为《无界·长安》的演员，觉得很荣幸，“当天演出结束，导演还上台和我们一起合影留念！”

　　The performance was a huge success, with enthusiastic applause from start to the end. "Omni Chang'an" quickly became one of Xi'an's most popular cultural and tourism performances. Walter said he felt honored to be one of the cast. "After the show that day, the director even came on stage and took pictures with us!"

　　成为中国女婿

　　Becoming a Chinese Son-in-law

　　来西安前，沃尔特不曾想会在这里收获爱情。沃尔特的妻子陈婧是一位兰州姑娘，在西安工作，2025年两人步入婚姻殿堂。“知道我找到了爱人，家人都十分开心！”沃尔特说，也因为这个原因，2024年底《无界·长安》的演出合约到期后，同伴们纷纷回国，而他留了下来，“西安不再只是一个工作选择，而是我的家。”

　　Before coming to Xi'an, Walter never expected he would find love here. His wife, Chen Jing, is from Lanzhou and works in Xi'an. They got married in 2025. "My family was very happy to know that I'd found my love!" said Walter. It was for this reason that when his contract with "Omni Chang'an" expired at the end of 2024, his colleagues all returned to their home countries, but he stayed. "Xi'an is no longer just a work choice—it’s my home."

　　2025年9月，沃尔特和陈婧在西安举办了温馨浪漫的婚礼。在这人生的重要时刻，沃尔特特意穿上阿根廷传统服饰，诚意满满地为妻子跳了一段阿根廷舞蹈，幸福之情感动在场嘉宾。“我们在兰州、西安举行了婚礼，计划还要回阿根廷再举办一场。”沃尔特开心地说。

　　In September 2025, Walter and Chen Jing held a romantic wedding in Xi'an. On this important occasion in his life, he specially wore traditional Argentine attire and, with heartfelt sincerity, performed an Argentine dance for his wife, touching all the guests with their happiness. "We held our wedding in Lanzhou and Xi'an, and we plan to have another one back in Argentina," Walter said happily。

　　离开《无界·长安》剧组后，沃尔特并没有停下演艺脚步。2026年春节期间，沃尔特每天都要在西安秦岭野生动物园演出5场，表演舞蹈、演奏小提琴。“春节的演出气氛非常热烈，每天观众爆满，空气中洋溢着欢乐。”他说，春节他过得格外充实，和妻子在家里挂了各种马元素的装饰，准备了家乡菜肴，吃了饺子，与朋友们聚会，非常愉快。

　　After leaving the "Omni Chang'an" production team, Walter did not stop his performing career. During the 2026 Spring Festival, he performed five shows daily at Xi'an Qinling Wildlife Park, performing dances and the violin. "The atmosphere was incredibly lively. The venue was packed every day and was filled with joy." He had a particularly fulfilling Spring Festival—decorated their home with various horse-themed ornaments with his wife, prepared dishes from their hometown, enjoyed dumplings, and gathered with friends, all of which made for a very pleasant time。

　　受朋友邀请，沃尔特还尝试过短剧拍摄，在短剧《长安舞者》中担任叙事主人公，演绎了身为舞者的故事。据了解，该片获得了瑞典电影奖短片最佳导演等电影节奖项提名。

　　At the invitation of a friend, Walter also tried micro-drama acting. He even played the narrator in the short film "Chang'an Dancer" and portrayed the story of a dancer, which was nominated as the Best Director of Short Film for Sweeden Film Awards, among other nominations。

　　沃尔特性格开朗，和朋友相聚时，会取出随身携带的小提琴即兴演奏一段；也会在甘南的文化交流舞台上大方学跳藏族舞。最近，沃尔特正在跟着妻子努力学中文，他说：“作为中国女婿，这是必须的！”

　　Walter is a cheerful person. When getting together with friends, he would take out the violin that he always carries and play an impromptu piece; he'd also learned Tibetan dances on cultural exchange stages in Gannan. Recently, he has been working hard to learn Chinese from his wife, because, as he says, "being a Chinese son-in-law, this is necessary!"
